What is 1% For The Planet?
1% For The Planet is a collective of companies that undertake to donate 1% of their annual turnover to environmental protection organizations. This NGO was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder and owner of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, former owner of Blue Ribbon Flies. Member companies can choose one or more associations to donate to 1% of their turnover.
We have chosen to support Coeur de Forêt
Heart of the Forest, what is it? It is an association which acts to preserve forests through various projects including the overall objective is to find a sustainable balance between Humans and the Forest.
The Coeur de Forêt association in a few figures
Since 2005, Coeur de Forêt has been: • 1,434,000 trees planted in 7 countries • 297 different species • 23,885 people benefited from the project • 80 employees • 33 products developed (essential oils, etc.) The association takes care of several projects around the world and at Santarome Bio we have chosen to support more particularly the Madagascar Antsirabe Project.

Thanks to the donation of 1% of our turnover from our range of Organic Gummies, Coeur de Forêt will be able to: 🌳 Planting trees in Madagascar 👨 🌾 Participate in training and technical support of producers in agroecology 🌾 Helping producer groups 🖋 Participate in an awareness and education program to the environment in schools and villages Today, the Madagascar Antsirabe project is already: 500 720 trees planted, more than 10,600 beneficiaries, 19 species planted and 8 species valued since 2014.
