Linden tree

The linden tree is a wild and ornamental tree native to Europe and Asia Minor that can grow up to 30 meters tall. Linden sapwood is the name given to the tree's second bark, which is softer than the first.

In ancient Germanic civilizations, the linden tree was sacred and dedicated to Freya, the goddess of fertility and maternal love. It quickly became a popular remedy and was the subject of numerous medical treatises.
