Thyme

Origin and history

Thyme, a symbol of courage and vitality, is an aromatic plant emblematic of the Mediterranean basin. Used since ancient times by the Egyptians for embalming and by the Greeks to purify the air, it was also burned in temples for its purifying properties. In the Middle Ages, it was given to knights to give them strength and bravery. In herbal medicine, thyme is now recognized as a valuable ally for the respiratory tract, digestion, and natural defenses.
