Dandelion
Dandelion has been known since at least Greek antiquity, yet its first "documented" uses date back only to the 16th century, when doctors apparently gave dandelion to people suffering from kidney problems. Also known as "lion's tooth," this plant blooms from May to November, and its flowers, which close at night, open at sunrise.
