L-Tyrosine

Origin and definition

L-tyrosine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in the body. It is considered semi-essential because the body can synthesize it from another amino acid, phenylalanine, but this production can become insufficient during periods of intense stress, prolonged fatigue, or high mental demand. L-tyrosine is now widely used in micronutrition to support concentration, alertness, andnervous system balance, particularly during periods of intellectual or emotional stress.

Properties and benefits

L-tyrosine is known for its stimulating and adaptive effects:

  • Improves concentration and alertness, especially in cases of mental overload.

  • Supports stress resistance by helping the body to better produce neurotransmitters linked to the stress response.

  • Promotes motivation and mental clarity, useful during exam periods or periods of intense work.

  • Supports energy metabolism through its role in the production of thyroid hormones.

  • Reduces nervous fatigue without excessive stimulating effects like caffeine.

It is particularly popular with students, working people under high mental pressure, and athletes.
