Juniper

Native to Scandinavia, juniper is distinguished by its rough bark, which ranges in color from reddish to brown. It is a pyramidal tree with twisted stems, found in mountains at altitudes of up to 2,500 meters. The pseudo-fruit of the juniper is called a "juniper berry" and is harvested in October and November. Legend has it that if you eat one juniper berry every day, you will be spared from illness.
