Origin and history
Bacopa, also known as Brahmi in Ayurvedic tradition, is a creeping aquatic plant native to India and Southeast Asia. Used for over 3,000 years in Ayurvedic medicine, it is considered a "meditative" plant, promoting mental clarity and memory. Its Sanskrit name, Brahmi, refers to Brahma, the god of knowledge and creation, reflecting the plant's importance in Indian traditions.
