Origin and history
Reishi, also known as "Ling Zhi" in Chinese, is a legendary mushroom in traditional Asian medicine. Used for over 2,000 years in China, it symbolizes longevity, vitality, and spiritual balance. Once reserved for emperors and nobles, it was considered an elixir of life. Its scientific name, Ganoderma lucidum, means "shiny skin," in reference to its reddish-brown lacquered cap. Today, it is recognized worldwide as a powerful adaptogen, capable of helping the body adapt to stress and strengthen its natural defenses.
