Grape seed

Origin and history

Grape seeds come from cultivated vines (Vitis vinifera), a plant emblematic of the Mediterranean basin. Used since ancient times for the production of wine and oil, grapes were also recognized for their medicinal properties. It was not until the 20th century that the exceptional richness of its seeds in natural antioxidants, particularly polyphenols and OPCs (procyanidolic oligomers), was discovered. These compounds make it an ally of choice for beauty, youthfulness, and vitality.

Properties and benefits of grape seed

Grape seeds are particularly renowned for their antioxidant, circulatory, and protective properties:

  • Powerful antioxidant: the OPCs they contain neutralize free radicals, which are responsible for cellular aging.

  • Circulatory support: they promote microcirculation and help keep legs feeling light.

  • Skin beauty: by protecting cells from oxidative stress, they help preserve the skin's radiance and firmness.

  • Cardiovascular health: their polyphenols support healthy blood vessels and heart function.

  • General vitality: they strengthen the body's resistance to external aggressions.

These benefits explain why grape seed is often referred to as a "natural shield" against aging.
