Grape seed

Origin and history

The grape seed comes from the cultivated grapevine ( Vitis vinifera ), an emblematic plant of the Mediterranean basin. Used since antiquity for the production of wine and oil, grapes were also recognized for their medicinal properties. It was only in the 20th century that the exceptional richness of its seeds in natural antioxidants , particularly polyphenols and OPCs (oligomeric procyanidins) , was discovered. These compounds make it an excellent ally for beauty, youthfulness, and vitality.

Grape seeds are particularly renowned for their antioxidant, circulatory and protective properties:

  • Powerful antioxidant : the OPCs they contain neutralize free radicals, which are responsible for cellular aging.

  • Circulatory support : they promote microcirculation and contribute to lightness of the legs.

  • Skin beauty : by protecting cells from oxidative stress, they help to preserve skin radiance and firmness.

  • Cardiovascular health : their polyphenols support the proper functioning of blood vessels and the heart.

  • General vitality : they strengthen the body's resistance to external aggressions.
