Origin and history
The cranberry is a small red berry native to the cold regions of North America. Used for centuries by Native Americans, it served as food, natural medicine, and dye. These populations used it in particular to treat wounds and prevent urinary tract infections. Over time, cranberries have become an iconic fruit in the United States and Canada, often consumed in the form of juice or dried fruit. Today, they are recognized worldwide for their benefits to urinary health.
