Properties and benefits of acacia

Acacia gum, better known as gum arabic, is a soluble plant fiber widely used in food and herbal medicine. It helps support digestive comfort by promoting transit and nourishing the intestinal flora. Rich in polysaccharides, it acts as a natural prebiotic.

In addition to its beneficial effects on digestion, acacia gum helps maintain normal cholesterol levels and can support weight management as part of a balanced diet, thanks to its satiating effect.

Traditionally, acacia is also known for its soothing effect on the throat and respiratory tract, particularly in the form of syrup or lozenges.
